Lumpiang Shanghai – Filipino Spring Roll
Lumpiang Shanghai (Filipino Spring Rolls) is filled with ground pork, carrots, onions, garlic, and egg. You will always see this dish in a special occasions or gatherings and these rolls are so delicious that you can’t stop eating because of its unique savory taste. You will taste all the ingredients in every single bite, like its exploding in your mouth in a good way.
Lumpiang Shanghai is best if you eat these with sweet and sour sauce. That is the most common sauce for this rolls. But, if I’m eating these rolls at home without any special occasions, banana ketchup is fine. Every time I make lumpiang shanghai, I always tend to make a lot. The reason being, is that this dish can last a long time if you store the uncooked lumpia in the freezer and cook when needed.
