Golden Milk (Turmeric Latte)
Golden Milk, also known as Turmeric Latte, is a favorite healthy drink of mine. Made with low-calorie, dairy-free milk options like soy, almond, or coconut milk, this beverage also includes ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, salt, and a sweetener such as honey or syrup.
Often referred to as “super milk” due to its nutrient-rich ingredients, turmeric offers numerous health benefits. It acts as a natural anti-inflammatory, provides high levels of antioxidants, regulates blood sugar, and supports metabolism. Additionally, it benefits joints and reduces muscle swelling. Similarly, ginger offers great health advantages and treats nausea and morning sickness during pregnancy.
Golden Milk benefits everyone, not just women. This drink is especially advantageous for gym-goers, as it alleviates muscle soreness and chronic indigestion.
In the Philippines, Golden Milk is not widely known. Some may avoid it due to its color, while others drink it for its health benefits. However, if you enjoy the taste of turmeric and ginger, you will surely appreciate this unique beverage. Your body will thank you!
